SMS consent & messaging terms

How to opt in
Operator sends text messages only after you expressly opt in. You opt in by signing into your Operator account at os.lifethriver.com, navigating to Settings, and turning on the SMS / Text toggle under Notification Channels. The SMS toggle only becomes available if you have added a mobile phone number to your Profile.
By enabling this toggle you confirm that the phone number on your profile belongs to you, that you consent to receive automated and informational text messages from Operator at that number, and that message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
What you'll receive
Operator uses SMS for account notifications only. You choose which of the following notification types reach you via text. Each is individually toggleable under Settings → Notification Types.
- Daily Lock Reminder — a single evening message if you have not yet locked your day.
- Streak Celebration — a short note on milestone days (7, 14, 21, 30, 50, 75, 100 consecutive locked days, and so on).
- Streak Broken — a gentle morning nudge on a day after a missed lock.
- Weekly Recap — a seven-day summary on your chosen check-in day.
- Energy Check-in — one brief check-in per day at a rotating time of day so the app can learn your natural rhythm.
- Coach Message — a short personalized note each morning based on your recent days.
Expected frequency
At most one text per notification type per day, typically four to six messages per day if every type is enabled, fewer if you turn any off. Operator never sends marketing or promotional texts and never shares your number with third parties for their marketing.

How to stop messages
You can stop receiving texts at any time by either:
- Replying STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any Operator text. Your carrier will stop future texts to you and Twilio will confirm the opt-out.
- Signing into your account and turning off the SMS / Text toggle under Settings → Notification Channels, or turning off individual notification types under Settings → Notification Types.
To resume messages after a STOP, reply UNSTOP or START, or re-enable the SMS toggle inside Settings.

Carrier & liability disclosure
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your notification settings. Operator and its carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all mobile carriers participate in short-code / toll-free programs and your carrier may not deliver every message. If a message fails to deliver, notifications will continue via email so you never miss a critical item.
Privacy
Phone numbers are stored in your Operator profile record on a Supabase-hosted Postgres database and are only used to deliver the text messages described above via Twilio. Operator does not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties. Full privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
